Project 3: Remediation and Treatment Technology Development and Support

Soil and Groundwater Research – Oak Ridge

The Applied Research Center (ARC) at Florida International University (FIU) carries out research and development of applications in the areas of environmental engineering and water resources. For the last twenty years ARC has developed programs and trained outstanding engineers and scientists to conduct advanced and applied research in areas that are vital to national and international needs in the areas of environmental engineering and water resources. ARC’s projects range from feasibility studies to design alternatives in environmental management and remediation, hazardous waste management, environmental and instrumentation engineering, GIS mapping, remote sensing, regional planning, water desalination, water management and distribution.
